Main features

  • Chromium-Free Aluminum Seal Rinse
  • Spray or Immersion Processing
  • Short Spray Treatment Window

Product Description

BONDERITE M-PT 100NC is a chromium-free sealing rinse for conversion-coated aluminum surfaces. Applied after the conversion-coating step, it promotes paint adhesion and corrosion resistance before final finishing. The treatment can be used by spray or immersion, with short application windows matched to each process: 15 to 60 seconds for spray and 30 seconds to 2 minutes for immersion. Operation is supported from ambient temperature to 120 deg F, with a working pH of 3.75 +/- 0.25. The product serves as a focused metal post-treatment rather than a primary conversion coating.

Key features

  • Chromium-free seal rinse: Post-treats conversion-coated aluminum before painting.
  • Process flexibility: Supports spray and immersion application methods.
  • Short treatment windows: Uses seconds-to-minutes application times at ambient to 120 deg F.

Applications

Applications include post-treatment of conversion-coated aluminum by spray or immersion before painting.

Specific Gravity
Specific gravity (SG) is the ratio of the density of a substance to the density of a reference substance; equivalently, it is the ratio of the mass of a substance to the mass of a reference substance for the same given volume. For liquids, the reference substance is almost always water (1), while for gases, it is air (1.18) at room temperature. Specific gravity is unitless.

Thermal Properties
Flash Point
The flashpoint of a solvent is the lowest possible temperature at which it can vaporize to form an ignitable vapor. Flashpoint is often confused with “autoignition temperature”, which is the temperature at which a solvent ignites without an ignition source.
